I NOT STUPID 小孩不笨 is a social satirical comedy, a genre that Jack Neo is strong in. It takes a look at the Singapore education system through three young boys in EM3, and their respective families.

Jack Neo holds the record for the highest grossing Chinese movie in Singapore at S$6M for his debut movie MONEY NO ENOUGH 钱不够用. Since then he has released LIANG PO PO -THE MOVIE 梁婆婆重出江湖 which was the highest grossing Chinese movie for 1999 and THAT ONE NO ENOUGH 那个不够 which he directed. Jack wrote the screenplay for all three movies. For I NOT STUPID 小孩不笨 , he is writing, directing and acting together with veterans, Xiang Yun 向云, Richard Low 刘谦益 and Selena Tan 陈美廪. When the movie is release, it would have been more than two years since the audience has seen a Jack Neo movie.

Like his television programmes, the strength of Jack's movies lie in his ability to connect with the mass i.e. the heartlanders. He speaks the voice of the people and the candid opinions of his characters on current social issues draw the crowd to the cinemas. In MONEY NO ENOUGH 钱不够用 , he managed to push the limits with his cynicism of the government without any adverse response from the government. In fact, to a certain degree, the government endorsed his movie. This is his ability to balance the sensitivity on both sides and yet create a movie that is self-effacing. And he is returning to that approach in his fourth movie.

Jack Neo is the star, storyteller, screenplay writer and director of the movie.

The face in front and behind the extremely successful prime time variety show COMEDY NIGHT 搞笑行动 and the current TOP FUN 欢乐巅峰 , Jack started his TV career in 1980 and has risen through the years to become one of the most recognized faces on TV. Having been cast in small roles in several local TV and regional films, Jack progressed into filmmaking fully when he wrote and starred in the most commercially successful local movie to date - MONEY NO ENOUGH 钱不够用 - which became the number 3 all time box office hit in Singapore.

Jack received the Best Director Award at the 1998 Silver Screen Awards for his short film and has also recorded and produced several albums.

Daniel Yun 云晖翔

Executive producer Daniel Yun is the Chief Executive Officer of Raintree Pictures. He spearheaded the set up of the company in 1998 as part of MediaCorp's' efforts to focus on content development and to expand its reach to the region and is the driving force to move the local film industry to new heights. Under Daniel's leadership, Raintree has produced eight movies and released six since its inception. Raintree's maiden project, LIANG PO PO - THE MOVIE grossed over S$3m and became the third highest grossing movie in Singapore in 1999. Subsequent two movies THE TRUTH ABOUT JANE & SAM and 2000ad were regional collaborations with award-winning Hong Kong filmmakers Derek Yee and Gordon Chan. In September this year, CHICKEN RICE WAR won the Discovery Award at the Toronto International Film Festival 2001. THE TREE and ONE LEG KICKING captivated the Singapore audiences when released, taking the top spots as the number one movie in Singapore on their opening week.
